KFC launches ‘The Slab’, a six pack of classic dinner rolls filled with popcorn chicken and more

Sydney, Australia, October 6- Sound the fried chicken horns! KFC is about to drop one of, if not, the biggest cult menu items to ever grace our shores – The Popcorn Chicken Slab. Made from a generous serving of six soft dinner rolls filled with Popcorn Chicken, this bad boy is not for the faint hearted.  

Like any form of slab we see here in Australia, KFC’s is no different. It’s a beautifully engineered rectangle, can be enjoyed with your buddies in the warmer weather and is a nice treat that can help take the edge off. The Slab is an epic combination of fan favourite Popcorn Chicken, oozing tasty cheese and BBQ sauce all loaded up in fresh dinner rolls.

In 2019 we trialled The Slab in our Ballarat restaurants, and when our fans heard about it, there were pleas to make it available across the country.  We listened to our fans, and it’s now available across all our restaurants for everyone to tuck into and enjoy! Made with our iconic popcorn chicken and soft bread rolls, we’ve no doubt our fans will go crazy for this new creation. But get in quick because it’s not going to be around forever.”

The Slab will be available in KFC restaurants nationwide from Tuesday 6 October until Monday 2 November at $10.95 a la carte or can be purchased as a Combo for 1 or 2. If you’ve got a lot of mouths to feed The Slab Feast will have you covered with a selection of Original Recipe, Chicken Tenders and chips on the side.
