KFC Italy focuses on digital and launches e-commerce
Milan, Italy, November 24- Beginning November 23 the new KFC Italia App is available for free on the App Store and Google Play Store, with more news and exclusive offers.
"KFC Italia has always focused on digital: a large part of our customers are digital natives and it was fundamental for us to follow an omnichannel strategy to be able to interact with them at all levels, from restaurant to digital. The launch of the new APP, and the restyling of the site in September, are the testimony." says Corrado Cagnola, at KFC Italia, and continues “to meet the needs of our customers we have also activated delivery through aggregators from the beginning of 2020, a channel that has been very successful. We are convinced that the click & withdraw service available in the new APP will also be equally appreciated and will increase the opportunities for consumption of our irresistible fried chicken even at home, also and especially in this period when access to restaurants is limited due to the Covid emergency.”
WITH THE CLICK AND PULL KFC FRIED CHICKEN IS EVEN CLOSER
The new APP maintains the features that are already in the previous version such as the offer of digital coupons and the option of finding the nearest restaurant but now there is a new style, increasingly distinctive KFC, and an important novelty: the creation of a proprietary e-commerce channel for the “click and withdraw”service.
From the main screen you can access the service in the APP and in a few steps you can place the order directly from your phone. Then just go to the selected restaurant, communicate your Order Number, pay it at the checkout and the chicken will be put in preparation, so you can enjoy it fresh and fragrant, even takeaway!
Soon the option to pay directly from the app with credit card or Satisfpay will also be enabled to minimize waiting times and avoid queues.
On the new app you can also browse the menu and be updated on the brand news in the NEWS section.
In addition, all users will have access to the section dedicated to digital coupons and promotions and there will be exclusive offers for registered users.
The app was developed by Timeware Innovation, a leading company in the sector, and is available on Google Play and the App Store.
AN IRRESISTIBLE AND CONSISTENT EXPERIENCE ON DIFFERENT TOUCHPOINTS
The KFC Italia website was completely renovated in September 2020, both in terms of design and experience. This restyling was born from the need to make the consumer journey even more distinctive, creating a bridge from the store to the digital. In line with the new digital trends and the international guidelines of the brand, the new site has been designed so that the user can continue online the experience they have in KFC Italy restaurants.
In the new digital platform, more attractive and usable, information is instantly accessible. This is an essential requirement for the generation that KFC is targeting.
The user is at the center, the sections have been reorganized and simplified: accessibility, brevity and visual consistency with all communication touchpoints being essential to create a unique experience.
The restyling of the site was curated by Isobar, dentsu's creative agency, which has been working alongside KFC Italia since 2018.
