KFC Gaming Officially Launches the KFConsole in partnership with Cooler Master
[17:00 GMT 22nd December 2020, London] KFC Gaming have today announced the official launch of the KFConsole in partnership with Cooler Master.
The Bargain Bucket-shaped machine features the world’s first built in chicken chamber, which is kitted out to keep its contents hot, ready for consumption during intense gaming sessions.
The console is fitted with a unique, custom built internal cooling system to extract system heat through around the outside of the chicken chamber, ensuring that the hardware is kept at a regular core temperature while simultaneously delivering a piping-hot meal.
The KFConsole campaign began on 11 June, when it went viral just hours after posting on the KFC Gaming Twitter channel, gaining 11 million organic impressions globally on the company’s Twitter page. Since then, KFC Gaming has won numerous awards for its initial teaser campaign, which earned global recognition across the gaming and wider mainstream communities.
‘Moving forward from our initial teaser campaign earlier this year, we’re so pleased to finally give the fans exactly what they wanted; making the KFConsole a reality’ said Mark Cheevers, PR & Social Media Lead at KFC UK & Ireland. ‘We all know the console war is vicious, but we’re very confident in the KFConsole as our flagship entry. This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience... what’s not to like? If Sony or Microsoft want any tips on how to engineer a chicken chamber for their efforts next time, they’d be welcome to get in touch.’
The KFConsole is now a reality, thanks to a key partnership with a global hardware manufacturer. After recently teaming up with Cooler Master to develop the console, there were multiple stages of the development process which included custom built casing, creating the unique cooling system and integrating the signature chicken chamber.
‘When we were approached by KFC Gaming to make the KFConsole, we jumped at the chance to get involved and enter the console war' said Stephen James, Global PR & Influencer
Manager at Cooler Master. ‘The KFConsole has been custom built with the gamer at the front of mind. The last thing we want is anyone to go hungry while playing!’

KFC
In 1952 Colonel Harland Sanders opened the first KFC restaurant in Utah. Since then, his perfectly crafted Original Recipe chicken and its secret recipe of 11 herbs and spices has become famous all over the world, and today we have over 900 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
The Colonel was all about doing things the right way. That means our chicken is delivered fresh from farm to restaurant in 48 hours. It’s prepared carefully by hand in-restaurant by trained cooks, using the very best chicken reared to strict welfare standards. In July 2019 we took the next big step in our welfare journey and signed up to the Better Chicken Commitment, a set of six criteria that have been designed to improve the lives of all chickens within the KFC supply chain, by 2026. That’s what makes our food so finger lickin’ good.
The right way also means serving fresh proper food, packed with flavour. So, we’ve worked hard to make nutritional improvements across our menu, so our fans have as much choice as possible, and we’ve committed to removing 20% of calories per serving by 2025.
The Colonel also believed in feeding promise, wherever it’s found. So that’s why we invest heavily in the development and careers of our 27,000 employees – we were the first restaurant to launch an honours degree. And since its 2015 launch, our KFC Foundation has paid out grants totalling £5 million to our charity partners who are passionate about developing and nurturing young people across the country.
