KFC Africa Women are On The Move!
KFC Africa extends its 2021 Women On the Move programme (WOM) & launches the WOM Extended Network (WOM.EN) programme.
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, there is no better time than now to celebrate KFC’s incredible women– and the best way to do so is show up for the women that define our business and build our brand! This month, we are therefore proud to announce not only the extension of the KFC Women On the Move programme, but also critically important, extending this to be more inclusive within the brand into this important gender equality mix.
KFC Africa’s Women On The Move Programme was created in 2021 as a transformative 12-month programme to equip women with tools and resources that will help them leverage their innate leadership qualities and fuel results within the business. Following its success with 20 women having successfully completed the programme in 2021, this year, the next group of 22 women will be following in their footsteps.
This transformative programme will see the participants go through a process of discovery, participatory and self-transformation that is underpinned by blended exposure that results in bench readiness for leadership and driving a high-performance culture. This ensures a continuous circle of collaboration and partnership that empowers women to have the skills set, the motivation and the support to succeed in the workplace. Supported by our programme leaders, who themselves are graduates of the 2021 programme intake, we are confident in the future before the 2022 candidates.
But we are not stopping here though in our drive to stand up and stand out as an organisation that is invested in creating a more inclusive and progressive operating environment.
We are proud to continue with the KFC Africa Women On The Move Programme, but more than this we are launching an extension of this campaign – the WOM.EN (Women on the Move Extended Network) programme which looks to bring women across the business together, globally at all levels, and afford them the opportunity to share experiences, learnings, challenges and create growth networks in the workplace.
Through this blended exposure and the strong internal networks, the WOM.EN Programme is a key extension of our Diversity and Inclusion agenda and will witness a jam packed and impactful female leadership programme which will include YUM global panel talks, keynote speakers, masterclasses and assessments.
Senior leaders, Nolo Thobejane and Hloni Mohope are focused on leading the roll-out of the 2022 KFC Africa Women On The Move programme while Mmenyana Ranku and Simone Forshaw responsible for developing and leading the WOM Extended Network this year. These efforts will be done with an internal, external and global focus to ensure all participants experience the best that KFC has to offer and to witness true upliftment, development and empowerment both in Africa and globally.
Ove the course of the month, we will be profiling some of the 2022 WOM candidates.
In Africa, we aim to inspire, grow and create a place for women at the proverbial table and we believe the extension of this year’s programme and the introduction of our Extended Network Programme will achieve just this – bringing women together from all walks of life to share and lean on one another to grow, succeed and shine!
