March 22, 2023: It’s been an appetizing start to 2023 for the KFC family! For the eighth consecutive year, KFC Thailand has proven its social media supremacy by taking home the coveted (and crunch-tastic) ‘Best Brand Performance on Social Media’ Award in the Restaurant category at the Thailand Zocial Awards.
KFC Thailand, and its fun-loving fans, share a bond like no other, especially on social media! With a deep-fried passion for all things poultry, KFC fans regularly flock to the brand’s social media channels to share their unwavering support. KFC's success over the past eight years has been nothing short of extraordinary, thanks to the brand’s ongoing ability to connect with a new generation of consumers through some seriously creative, engaging, and fun marketing campaigns!
Cluck-worthy social media campaigns from the last year include the 'Chicken Pop Garland’ campaign, that expressed love to mothers through the crispy, delicious flavors of Colonel's recipe; and the '9.9 Colonel's Birthday' campaign, that saw KFC team up with e-commerce channels to offer the most delectable 9.9 deals in honor of Colonel’s Sanders' birthday!
Of course, the fun didn’t stop there – for the year-end campaign, KFC went all out with a limited edition 'Bucket Basket' that gave a New Year’s spin on the Colonel's iconic bucket. Each of these campaigns reflects KFC’s award-winning ability to tap into the Gen Z psyche and create unique and memorable social media campaigns that truly resonate with audiences.
To mark the occasion of winning the ‘Best Brand Performance on Social Media’ Award for the 8th time, the Colonel himself was in attendance, stepping onto the stage to race C.M.O., Mr. Limbada to the bite and accept the award – as well as thunderous applause from all of everyone there! When prompted for a few words, the Colonel had this to say: “I only have two rules: do all you can do and do it the best way you know how!”
