KFC Global today announced that Nira Johri (she/her) will be joining the organization as our new Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO), reporting directly to Val Kubizniak, KFC Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective April 3, 2023.  In this role, Nira will be responsible for leading KFC’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) agenda across the pillars of People and Communities, Chicken and Nutrition, and Climate and Supply Chain.  Our global “Done the Right Way” ESG strategy is an enterprise-wide business imperative, cross-functional priority and is absolutely essential in ensuring we position KFC as a modern, trusted, feel-good brand.

Nira joins us from Rich Products Corporation (Rich’s), where as Vice President of Global Inclusion and Sustainability she defined an enterprise-wide sustainability vision, strategy and branding for their $5 billion global bakery and frozen food business.  With her leadership, Rich’s accelerated cost-savings reduction projects with environmental impact, established its first carbon reduction goal and gained industry, customer and public disclosure recognition for its progress.  Prior to Rich’s, Nira held several leadership roles across World Cocoa Foundation, Unilever, the United States Department of Defense and Obama for America. Nira earned her BS in Marketing and BA in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland.  She holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge.
